Sub Rosa's focus is on freshness and flavor. It starts with the ingredients. We grow our own salads makings and herbs in our garden here in
Dundee
. There is plenty of local seafood and game to choose from and the whole concept of ‘free-range’ anything appeals to us.
Food is about flavor - layers of flavor. The meal itself can be pretty simple or involve dish after dish, but it better be tasty.

’s food is an amalgam of various spices and flavors created to wake up the senses. Michael is partial to East Indian spices. Linda favors classic French and Italian meals. Her dishes are much more elegant, yet bursting with freshness and flavor. Michael’s meals are a bit more bold and aggressive. Between the two of them a perfect marriage of ingredients, passion, fun and flavor is reached.
Our cocktail philosophy follows along the same lines. Use fresh juices and season ingredients wherever possible. To spend on this time on the food and then slide on the cocktail side would be a crime.

is small. We seat three or four couples maximum. The table is yours for the evening. Take your time. Enjoy yourself. For that special magical moment, our home is your home.
