Downloading Music

Music on the Sub Rosa virtual restaurant site is provided from our personal collection for you to listen to. Some of these songs are privately recorded live shows that have never been released commercially. Some are mash-ups, a blend of acappella tracks married to music tracks.

Few if any songs here are from released albums. Please don't abuse the privilege of listening to these tunes.

Sub Rosa encourages you to purchase the music you listen to. Visit an online retailer or better yet, your local CD retailer and purchase released discs from the bands you love. Please, buy whole albums. Cherry picking of hits leads to a less diverse musical landscape.

For better or worse, that is how the industry still works. Money talks. Bullshit walks. There is no free lunch.

Since iPods and digital players have taken over how music is sold, downloading digital albums and individual song for a fee has become the way that music is obtained.

We appreciate you visiting Sub Rosa and listening to the music we enjoy. Please support your favorite bands and buy their new albums and their back catalogs.

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

Hunter S. Thompson
